Greg graduated Mizzou in 2013 with a Bachelors degree in Health Science, going back to school at State Technical College in a Linn, MO to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. He currently is with MU Health Care as a Physical Therapist Assistant.  Greg resides in Columbia with his two Siberian Huskies and can be found spending time with his family outdoors.

Trischa is from the Columbia area and a graduate of Columbia College and Stephens College. She received her Masters in Strategic Leadership from Stephens College in May of 2018 and started as the Coordinator of Student Engagement at Columbia College that same month. Trischa’s favorite extracurricular activity is doing Acro Yoga with her husband and hiking on any of the awesome hiking trails in Mid-Missouri. She also lives her two amazing mutts, Bubbles and Frankie!

Angie is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a degree in psychology. Originally from Tipton, MO, she lived in the St. Louis area after graduation but she and her husband returned to Columbia in 1993. They have four children and have spent A LOT of time attending school and sporting events as their children have grown. Angie is employeed as the bookkeeper at The St. Thomas More Newman Center.  After her own experiences with extracurriculars growing up (basketball, band, cheerleading) and witnessing the importance of them as a parent, Angie is excited to be a part of the Day Dreams  Foundation in its mission to help ensure that all kids can benefit from involvement in extracurriculars.

Anthony whom is originally from Columbia, Missouri graduated from Douglass High School in 2004. He later graduated with a Bachelors in Sports Management from Central Methodist University. Anthony is the founder of the Non-Profit Columbia Supreme youth basketball organization. He learned about Day Dream Foundation from a few of his players that utilized the organization to aid with basketball cost. Anthony has worked at Boys and Girls Club, Fun City Youth Academy, Unlimited Opportunities, Woodhaven, Youth Empowerment Zone and Services for independent Living. He is passionate about children, individuals with disabilities and all other members of the under served communities.

Amanda is originally from Washington Missouri and moved to Columbia after graduating from Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO where she played volleyball and studied sociology. Amanda received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Missouri and is currently the Access Crisis Intervention Coordinator at Burrell Behavioral Health. Amanda coaches volleyball at Columbia Independent School and in her spare time trains and competes in Olympic weightlifting. As a life-long athlete Amanda recognizes the impact of extra-curricular activities on a child’s life and joined Day Dreams Foundation to help give kids in Columbia opportunities that will provide positive outcomes in their future.

Sheena Rice is the Outreach Manager for the MU News Bureau, the media relations office at Mizzou. At Mizzou, Sheena is responsible for helping health and wellness researchers craft their messaging to local, statewide, national and international reporters for print, online and broadcast outlets. Originally from Butte, Montana, Sheena holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in both philosophy and political science from Montana State University. She received her Master’s in Public Affairs from Mizzou. When she’s not working or volunteering with Day Dreams, Sheena can be found in the gym, watching Cubs baseball or Mizzou sports.

Ellen is from St. Louis and moved to Columbia in 2010 to attend the University of Missouri, where she received a bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies. She currently works as a Family Resource Specialst with First Chance for Children, and is finishing a masters degree in social work. Her favorite extracurricular activity as a child was taking piano lessons, which she did from ages 7-18. She also attended YMCA Camp Lakewood, where she later worked as a counselor. She has been involved with Day Dreams since its beginnings in 2014, and has served as a program committee member and the board secretary. She has been married to Joe Bradley since July 2016.

Sara joined the Board of Directors in fall of 2016 and has since fallen in love with the Day Dreams Foundation (what’s not to love?!) Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Sara came down to Columbia in 2011 to attend Mizzou and pursue her dream of becoming a famous television reporter. After graduating college in 2015, she began working as a reporter at ABC 17 News and has loved every minute of it. She’s still working on the “famous” part (look out, Savannah Guthrie!) Through her job, Sara realized the important, unique role the Day Dreams Foundation plays in the community and how beneficial it can be to help those families that truly need it. She’s currently a member of the Marketing Committee and putting her addiction to social media to good use. When she’s not posting on our Facebook page, she’s either reading a good murder mystery novel or drinking a good craft beer with friends.

Taira was born in Maryland and moved to Columbia to attend graduate school for Library Science. She didn’t go very far after graduating and is currently a medical librarian at the University of Missouri. When she isn’t working,  Taira reads a lot (but in reality, checks out way too many books from the library that go unread because there are so many good books out there) watches period dramas, and is an advisor with Alpha Gamma Delta at Truman State University.  In Fall 2016, she decided to join the Day Dreams Foundation because the mission resonated with her. As a kid, extracurriculars gave her the opportunity to grow and explore what she was interested in. She never excelled at sports, but she does what she can to make sure the children of Columbia have the opportunities they deserve.

Theresa was born and raised in DeKalb, Illinois, and moved to Columbia in 2013. She graduated from Mizzou with a journalism degree and now works full time at the St. Thomas More Newman Center on campus as the Communications Coordinator. When she was younger, it was her dream to become the first woman president! (She now has other, less stressful dreams.) Theresa was involved in band, soccer, and badminton for many years. She joined the board in 2017 to help Columbia kiddos experience the joy she found in so many extracurriculars. And she’s even more excited to be the cool aunt to her first nephew, born March 2018, and teach him how to be a major geek like she is!
